Trent Valley Kart Club will be helping to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care this weekend by supporting Matt Rooley (of 4G Racing) and his unique idea to sell kart sticker kits in memory of his late wife, Gemma.
Matt lost his wife to stomach cancer three years ago on the 28th February – aged just 28. The charity is obviously close to his heart, “The work Marie Curie did to support me and my two young children was phenomenal. I would really like to give something back to this fantastic organisation”.
Matt had the idea to have a dedicated set of kart stickers produced in memory of Gemma. He then contacted TVKC to see if the Club could help him to support this fantastic cause. TVKC & Matt then joined forces to raise money for this well deserved charity at the March club race meeting this weekend (3rd & 4th March).
The sticker kits will be available to purchase in race control at a cost of £5 per set with all proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
During the course of the weekend, all drivers displaying these decals will be considered for a special ‘Driver of the Day’ award which will consist of a complimentary TVKC Club race entry (worth £55), a set of slick tyres (courtesy of Matt Rooley-4G Racing) and a commemorative trophy! The lucky winner will be announced on Sunday during the trophy presentation.
So please show your support and help to raise some money for this worthy cause!
