More Prizes Added!

We are excited to announce that the prize fund for the 2019 Motorsport UK Kartmasters British Kart Grand Prix has increased!!

In addition to the CASH prizes (1st £500 / 2nd £250 / 3rd £100) for the top 3 and of course the coveted GP plates for the winners, there’s also a chance to win these other fantastic prizes, courtesy of our friends in the industry…

Thanks to our great friends at Project One Racing, one very lucky Honda cadet driver will be leaving Kartmasters with a brand new Arai helmet!  To be in with a chance of winning this great prize, you just need to be present at the Podium presentations after racing on the Sunday where the winner will be pulled out of the at hat random!  Good luck!

The Ferrari family have kindly once again sponsored the Bruno Ferrari trophy.  They’ll select a driver of their choice from either IAME cadet or X30 Junior and the lucky winner will not only receive the traditional ‘#13 Steering Wheel’ trophy, they’ll also receive £100 too!

JAG Engineering have supported Kartmasters once again by donating 6 sets of Mojo tyres.  These will be given to the top 3 drivers from Junior & Senior Senior Max.

We also need to thank Russell Anderson of Andersons for donating 3 sets of Dunlop tyres which the podium winners from Honda cadet will be awarded with.

JM Engineering & IAME have also helped to top up the prize fund again this year by offering some free and reserved places to the IAME International finals at Le Mans in October.  These prizes will go to IAME cadet, Mini X, X30 Junior and X30 Senior.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the businesses and companies who have very kindly donated prizes for this year’s Kartmasters GP event!  THANK YOU!

And don’t forget, for those drivers present at the podium presentations, they’ll be a chance for a driver from each class to win free entries and practices for the 4 round Autumn Cup in our free prize draw!

CHARITY BALLOON RACE:  In Memory of Bill Saunders
Kartmasters has become renowned  for its Charity Balloon race but this year it has an extra special meaning to it.  Only a few weeks ago, we lost one of our most dedicated, popular and knowledgeable members of the TVKC team, Bill Saunders.  Bill supported the Club for many years and was a regular and popular face in the Scrutineering team.  He will be sadly missed.

We will be  joined at the meeting by Bill’s wife, Eileen, and his son Andrew and his family.  A minute’s applause will take place just before the start of the first Grand Prix, at the same time, the balloons will be released in his memory.  The balloon tickets are £5 each and all of the money raised will go to Bill’s chosen charity, the University College London Amyloid Research Fund.  Tickets will be available to buy from Race Control.
