Trent Valley Kart Club will be staging the third and penultimate round of their Winter Series next weekend (Sunday 3rd February).
With the combination of other race meeting cancellations (due to recent weather conditions) and the fact that there’s still plenty of Winter Series Championship points still up for grabs – TVKC’s February meeting promises to be another fantastic race meeting at the awsome PF International Kart Circuit.

The CIK-FIA awarded their top Championship drivers from 2012 last weekend at their annual presentation in Paris.
The evening was opened by the President of the FIA, Jean Todt, who welcomed the 175 guests to the spectacular gala event.
Over 30 drivers were awarded, amongst them several drivers from the UK – congratulations to you all!
There were also three special awards given out that evening – one of them being for ‘Best Event of the 2012 CIK-FIA Championship Season’. We are very honoured to announce that PF International Kart Circuit was given this special accolade in recognition for the final round of the 2012 CIK-FIA European KF2 & KF3 Championship which was staged at the legendary circuit back in July!

TVKC’s Club Chairman & Clerk of the Course, Nigel Edwards, has been awarded the FIA’s ‘Best Clerk of the Course For 2012’ for his dedicated service to Motorsport. Nominated by the MSA, these special recognition awards are presented to volunteer Officials & Marshals.
Nigel was presented with his ‘Best Clerk of the Course’ award from Allan Dean-Lewis MBE (MSA) during the Autosport Show at Birmingham’s NEC at the weekend.
Stunned by the news of his nomination, Nigel commented “When I received the confirmation from Allan (Dean-Lewis) at the MSA I was staggered! I have been fortunate to be part of a fantastic kart club here in the UK and together we have had some fantastic experiences (and many more to come hopefully), I have also been part of the Super 1 & FKS Karting Championships for which I’m proud to have helped. Further afield I have to say thank you to RGMMC, BRP ROTAX & The CIK who have trusted in my capacity as a Clerk of the Course/Race Director to manage their events at the highest level. It has been a privilege to be involved with all these people/organisations and the great sport of KARTING”.
From everyone at TVKC, we wish to congratulate Nigel for this outstanding achievement….WELL DONE NIGE!
