Terms & Conditions
The terms of use for this website and of entry to Trent Valley Kart Club events.
1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and your participation in any event, test session, practice day or activity organised by Trent Valley Kart Club ("TVKC", "the Club", "we", "us") at the PF International Kart Circuit. By using this website, entering an event or attending the venue you accept these terms.
All TVKC events are run under the General Regulations of Motorsport UK, any applicable championship regulations, the event supplementary regulations and the Club Rules published in our document centre. Those documents form part of these terms, and where there is any conflict the Motorsport UK regulations take precedence.
2. Competitor responsibility for equipment and safety
Motor sport is dangerous. Every competitor, entrant, parent, guardian, mechanic and team member takes part entirely at their own risk and is responsible for their own safety and that of those in their care.
- Each competitor and entrant is solely responsible for their own equipment, including the kart, engine, chassis, tyres, fuel, tools, transport, awning and any electrical equipment used in the paddock.
- Each competitor is solely responsible for ensuring their kart is safe, roadworthy for competition, mechanically sound and compliant with the technical regulations for their class before it is taken on track.
- Personal protective equipment — helmet, race suit, gloves, boots and any neck or rib protection — must meet the current Motorsport UK standards and be in serviceable condition. The Club does not supply or inspect personal equipment on your behalf.
- Competitors must hold a valid Motorsport UK competition licence and current Club membership where the event requires it, and must comply with all age and class eligibility criteria.
- Competitors must race to the rules stated in the documents published online, including the Club Rules, championship regulations, paddock regulations, safeguarding policy and the Race with Respect guidance.
Neither TVKC, its officials, volunteers, nor the circuit operator accepts liability for loss, theft or damage to karts, vehicles, equipment or personal property, or for any injury however caused, except to the extent that liability cannot be excluded by law.
3. Entries, fees and refunds
Entries are made through the Club's official entry system and are only accepted once payment has cleared and the entry has been confirmed. Entry and membership fees are published on this website and may be revised between seasons.
Entries withdrawn before the published entry closing date may be refunded or transferred at the discretion of the Club Secretary. Withdrawals after the closing date, non-arrival on the day, or exclusion for a breach of the regulations are not normally refunded.
The Club reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry, to combine or cancel classes where numbers are insufficient, and to amend the timetable or format of an event where circumstances require it.
4. Paddock, conduct and safeguarding
All persons attending must follow the instructions of officials, marshals and circuit staff at all times, obey paddock speed limits and fire safety requirements, and keep their bay tidy and free of hazards. Fuel must be stored and handled in accordance with the paddock regulations.
Abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour towards officials, volunteers, other competitors or spectators will not be tolerated and may result in exclusion from the event and referral to Motorsport UK. The Club operates a safeguarding policy for children and young people, and a social media policy, both published online.
5. Circuit, facilities and events
Access to the circuit, pit bays, paddock and camping is subject to the rules of the venue operator as well as these terms. Track time, facilities and timetables may change without notice for reasons of safety, weather or operational need. Events may be postponed or abandoned; where this happens the Club will publish its decision on this website and by email.
6. Images, results and media
By entering an event you consent to being photographed and filmed, and to your name, class, kart number, timing data, results and images being published by the Club, its media partners and Motorsport UK for the promotion and reporting of the sport. Media accreditation is required for anyone attending in a professional media capacity.
7. Website use and intellectual property
This website is provided for information about the Club and its events. Content, including text, logos, photographs, results and documents, remains the property of TVKC or its licensors and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission. We take care to keep information accurate and up to date, but the published regulations and official notices issued for an event always take precedence over website content.
Your use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time by amending this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes relating to competition matters are subject to the judicial procedures of Motorsport UK.
