2019 will mark the 24th anniversary of the legendary ‘Motorsport UK Kartmasters British Kart Grand Prix’. Traditionally held on the first Sunday of August, this event has become THE annual blue-ribbon event on the UK Karting calendar. The event has always been staged at the infamous PF International kart circuit with Trent Valley Kart Club being it’s organiser.
Kartmasters is the largest one-off kart race meeting of the season with drivers challenging for the coverted ‘GP’ plates over the course of the action-packed weekend. Entrants vary in age – from 8 years upwards – and cover several different classes/categories. A full list of the different classes that will be run at the event can be found HERE
In 2019, Kartmasters will be supported by the ‘Bambino’ category for the very first time. Bambino is a class for drivers aged 6-8 year old. They use the Comer C50 engine and compete in time trials.
Many victors have been crowned over the years, some of which have gone on to climb the Motorsport ladder even further….a full list of past Kartmasters winners can be found HERE
In addition to the ‘GP’ plates, there are many other awards and prizes that are handed out over the course of the race weekend. These include special recognition awards, free prize draws and some fabulous trophies – all amounting to a total prize fund of over £15,000.
