LATEST NEWS FROM TVKC

Following many discussions with all the relevant parties over recent days, we regret to inform you that we have taken the extremely difficult decision to cancel the April race meeting (3/4 April).

Our hopes had been lifted a little after the Government’s announcement regarding the lifting of some of the lockdown restrictions from the end of March, however, with the sanction on overnight stays still in place (so no self catering or hotel accommodation), the recommendation to minimise travel where possible and Motorsport UK’s decision to reduce permits to one day, we had to be realistic and consider our options carefully.

We have been in full consultation with the local council, who have been very supportive, and of course, MSUK, to ensure all considerations have been explored.

We hope you can see from this that there’s been much to contemplate, given all of the complications and implications arisen from the current restrictions.

TVKC’s circumstances are perhaps unique and certainly different from that of most other clubs.  We are aware that this may not be a popular decision but we hope you can understand all of the underlying factors that make it difficult for us to conform to the current Government guidelines.  Ultimately, the safety of our Members and Officials is paramount.

On a more positive note, we still remain optimistic for the May meeting.  By this time, self contained accommodation should be open again making overnight stays less problematic.  We will of course continue to keep you up-to-date with our latest news!

Please note that PBS will be resuming practice days at PFi from Tuesday 30th March.  For more information, visit their Facebook page.
