We are excited to reveal more details about our two test days on 04 & 05 July!
As announced on 22 May, we took the decision to cancel the race meeting that was scheduled for the first weekend of July and replaced it with two practice days instead, giving both us and you, the competitor, a chance to experience the new guidelines and restrictions and put them into practice.
Many of you will be aware that PFi’s circuit management team, PBS, have already started to re-introduce test days again which have been very successful so far.
We will use the following format for our test days…
Gates: Open 07:00 – Close 19:00
Practice: Start 09:00 – Finish 17:30
Sessions will be split into Cadet, Mini, Junior and Senior – each having 12mins on track every hour. They’ll be a 30min lunch break part way through.
Given that we are still operating under strict COVID-19 guidelines, restrictions will be in place for the safety of everyone at the venue. These include:
* All driver must pre-book, pay and complete all relevant declarations online prior to the event.
* Categories will be restricted to a maximum of 20 (ie 20 x Cadet, 20 x Mini, 20 x Junior, 20 x Senior), making a maximum total of 80 drivers per day.
* Drivers will only be allowed to enter 1 of the 2 days, you can’t do both days.
* Numbers are restricted to driver +2 other persons. Team Managers will be allowed to pre-register aswell)
* No spectators or additional people will be allowed on site.
* No overnight stays permitted on site.
* Everyone present at the venue to wear their own face masks at all times and use their own gloves and hand sanitisers as appropriate.
* Everyone to maintain social distancing at all times.
You will be able to register and book online from 13:00 on Thursday 18 June until 13:00 on Tuesday 02 July, subject to available spaces. If the numbers go over, a waitlist will be created in case of cancellations. The practice fee is £65 per driver and we intend to have the full timing system in operation on those days so bring your own transponder along to make use of that (we won’t be hiring transponders on those days).
Just a reminder that, as per our news bulletin on 22 May, in order to maintain the improved noise pollution that our local residents have enjoyed and become used to over the past few weeks, the specified IAME secondary exhaust system (X30125723K) will be mandatory at all PFi events from now onwards. Paul Fletcher has kindly agreed to part-fund these units for TVKC members. Units will be restricted in number and will be available from JM Engineering.
These test days will still run to TVKC Club rules so remember, no bikes or scooters please in the paddock!
We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks’ time!
