Following weeks of deliberation and speculation, we are pleased to officially announce that Kartmasters 2020 WILL go ahead!
Clearly there has been lots to think about and difficult decisions to be made but the TVKC board feel that they will be able to run this famous event in a safe and controlled environment and were keen to showcase the KMGP to help kick-start the kart racing calendar once more after the nationwide break of over 3 months.
A few alterations have had to be introduced to fall inline with the current guidelines and regulations. So here’s what you need to know:
DATE: Fri 31st July (practice) + Sat 1st & Sun 2nd August 2020
FORMAT: Fri Practice, Sat TQ & Heats , Sun Pre Finals & Finals
CLASSES: IAME Cadet, Honda, Mini Group (Mini Max + MiniX), Jnr Max, X30 Jnr, Snr Max, X30 Snr
NUMBERS: Max. of 36 per class, Mini Group – 18 of each, amalgamated Heats, separate Finals
ENTRIES: Open online from Monday 06 July at 13:00
FEE: £220 3 days
The top 3 from each class will receive cash prizes and a trophy – the winner also getting the coveted GP plates of course!
The restriction of driver +2 others will remain in force and unfortunately, no spectators will be allowed on site during the event. HOWEVER, Alpha Live will be on hand to bring you the very best in live streaming meaning no one has to miss out on the famous Kartmasters action!
It goes without saying that all of this is hugely dependant on the Government’s COVID-19 restrictions at the time and should circumstances change, leading to the re-introduction of stricter safety measures and/or new restrictions then we would have to adapt our plans accordingly.
